Adding text to a model

You can easily add text to your model by placing your cursor in a blank line and typing your text. To insert a line of text or overwrite other types of lines, follow the instructions below.

Before you begin

If you have not already opened the Model window and selected the model you want to work with, do so now. How?

To add text to a model:

  1. Select a line in your model where you want to insert the text.
  2. Click image\text.gif. Estimating enters a blank text line in the model.
  3. Place your cursor in the line and type your text.
  4. Use the Text commands in the toolbar to change the font, size, color, and format of your text.
  1. Set up additional text lines in the same manner. When you finish, click [OK].
