You can take off everything for a structural element at once using model takeoff. A model includes a complete set of items and assemblies for a structural element. It can also include the logic to feed the proper values into its items and assemblies as well as text and image features that help explain, clarify, and enhance takeoff accuracy.
Model takeoff involves:
- Clicking
from the Takeoff group on the Home tab. (In classic view, click Takeoff menu > Model Takeoff, or click on the toolbar). - Double-clicking the model you want to take off.
- Completing an interview by answering questions, verifying default values, and entering missing values.
- Sending the model to the spreadsheet.
