Changing an existing item table

  1. Open the Assembly window in one of the following ways:

    • On the ribbon, from the Assemblies group on the Data tab, click Smart Assemblies..
    • In classic view, select Database menu > AssembliesSmart Assemblies.
  2. Click image\list.gif and select the assembly you want to work with.
  3. Click [Insert] and select Item Tables from the shortcut menu. In the Item Table list, highlight the item table you want to change, and then click [Edit].
  4. Make changes as needed.
    • To change the table name, click [Rename] and enter the new name in the Item table field.

    • To insert a row above the current row, click the right mouse button in the leftmost cell of the row and select Insert Row from the shortcut menu.

    • To delete a row, click the right mouse button in the leftmost cell of the row and select Delete Row from the shortcut menu.

    • To insert a column to the left of the current column, click [Insert] and select Column from the shortcut menu. Inserting a column in a one-dimensional table changes the table into a two-dimensional table.

    • (two dimensional table) To delete a column, click the right mouse button in the column’s input range cell and select Delete Column from the shortcut menu.

  5. When you finish changing the item table, click [OK] to save it.
  6. Change other item tables in the same manner.

When you finish, click [Close] to close the Item Table window, and then click [Cancel] to close the Item Table List. Click [Close] to close the Assembly window.
