Setting up a new crew resource

  1. Open the Resources window.

    • On the ribbon, from the Crews group on the Data tab, click Crews.
    • In classic view, click Database menu > CrewsCrews.
    • From the spreadsheet, right-click a crew, and then select Edit Crew from the shortcut menu.
  2. (optional) If you opened the window from the spreadsheet, use the Source option to save the new resource to either the estimate or standard database. Resources created from the Data tab (Database menu in classic view) are always saved to the standard database.
  3. Click [Add] to open the Adding Resource window.
  4. Complete the fields in the window.

  5. (optional) Enter notes for the resource:
    • Click [Notes], and then enter the notes in the Resource Notes window.
    • Click [OK].
  6. When you finish setting up the resource, click [OK] to save it.

Tip: You can quickly add a resource by using Create Resource from on the shortcut menu when you are working with crews and rate tables. Resources added using this command are stored in the same location (estimate or standard database) as the crew or rate table from which the command was initiated.
