Changing an existing phase

Open the Phase window in one of the following ways:
- On the ribbon, from the group on the Data tab, click Items.
- In classic view, click Database
> Items.
- From the spreadsheet,
right-click in a phase row, and then click Edit Phase on the
- Select the phase you want to change.
- The source option indicates where the phase showing in the window is stored. If you opened
the window from the spreadsheet, you can choose to change a phase in either the estimate or the standard database.
- You can click
to choose from a list of existing phases, or scroll through
the phases using [<<] and [>>].

Make changes as needed.
- To change the phase code, click [Renumber] and enter
the new code in the Phase field.
- To change an entry in a text box, click in the box, drag the cursor to highlight the entry,
and type in the new information.
- For more information, click
on the title bar of the window and then click a field or button
- When you finish changing the phase, click [OK] to save it.
- Change other phases in the same manner. When you finish, click [Close].
Tip: Changing a phase in the estimate does not affect the standard database. Likewise, changing
a phase in the standard database does not affect the estimate.
