Matching items

An item matches another item if the items have the same values for the following fields:

• Phase code*
• Item code*
• Item description
• Takeoff unit
• Subcontractor or Bid Grid
• Vendor

* If the spreadsheet is displayed in a Material Class sequence, the phase code and item code do not need to match in order for items to combine on the spreadsheet.

• In addition, the following must match for each category:
• Order unit
• Price (or lump amount)

Sage Estimating combines only those items that have the same values for the fields listed above.
