Save As Assembly command
Use this command to save the items in the takeoff grid (Assembly Takeoff window) as an assembly. The Assembly window opens prefilled with the items that were selected for takeoff.
- On the ribbon, from the Updates group on the Elements tab, click .
- In classic view, click Takeoff Tools menu > .
Before saving the assembly, specify whether it is a standard database or one-time assembly and enter an assembly code, description, unit, and calculation. You can also change the calculation method (where I -item formula, * - factor, F - selected formula, fy - custom calculation) for individual items.
- The default is the item formula, if any. Otherwise, the factor is 1.
- To switch the calculation method for a row, right-click a cell and choose the desired command. A ü appears beside your selection.
