Takeoff grid

Contains the items in the selected assembly. Before generating the assembly into the spreadsheet, you can substitute, add, or delete items, adjust labor and equipment productivity, and specify the quantities, locations, labor productivity and price tables, and work breakdown structures.

Tips:

  • When you review an assembly, a gray background indicates the standard database used to take off the assembly is not open. To change an assembly pass, open the standard database that was used to take off the assembly.
  • A red triangle in the upper right corner of the row header means that the item has a pending adjustment.
  • You can select one or more Quantity cells and choose a command from the shortcut menu to specify quantities using the calculator, ePlan Takeoff, or a formula.
  • Click [Notes] to open the Notes window where you can enter or view information about a particular assembly. A paper clip on the Notes button means there is already a note attached to the assembly.
  • Click [Attachment] to display the help topic, if available, for the selected assembly.
  • Sage Estimating automatically generates a pass to an assembly when you change the quantity of an item in the takeoff grid. A pass note identifies the item and its original amount.
  • Labor productivity and material price tables are available only if a standard database is open and you have set it up to use productivity or price tables. If no tables have been selected, Sage Estimating prefills the values specified in Estimating Information ().
