Testing a formula table

Before you begin

If you have not already done so, open the Formula Table window and display the formula table you want to test. How?

To test a formula table:

  1. Click [Test].

  2. Enter values for each of the variables listed in the Test Formula Table window. Use values that will produce a result you can verify rather than random values.

    Click [Total] or press Enter from the last variable to display the result.

  3. Check the result displayed in the Total text box.

    You can use the Sage Estimating calculator to check the result. How?

  4. When you finish testing the formula table, click [Close] to return to the Formula Table window.

  5. Did your formula table calculate properly?
    • Yes. Congratulations, you're done!
    • No. Change the formula table as needed, and then test it again.
