Finding a specific entry in a list

In any list, the quickest way to get to a specific entry is by typing its first few characters. Your entry displays at the top of the window, and the list moves to the closest match at the same level.

To go directly to an entry:

  1. Click image\list.gif.
  2. (optional) Choose the source option to display a list of entries from either the current estimate or standard database.
  3. From the Sort item list by, choose the sort order that is most useful for your search. Typical sort orders include Description and Phase/Item.
  4. If necessary, press [¬] to collapse a list or [®] to expand a list.
  5. Using the correct capitalization, type the first few numbers or characters of the entry.
