Using the calculator to calculate the takeoff quantity for an item

1. Right-click the item Quantity cell.
2. On the shortcut menu, click the Calculator option .
3. If appropriate, click [Clear] to delete the contents of the calculator.
4. Enter your calculation in the window.
5. To insert a math operator or function from a list, click [Functions].
6. To open the Microsoft Windows calculator, click [Win Calc].
7. Press Enter to display the result in the calculator.
8. Click [OK] to pull the result into the Quantity cell and close the calculator.

• To copy the value, select Copy from the Windows calculator's Edit menu.
• From the Sage Estimating calculator's text box, click the right mouse button and select Paste from the shortcut menu to paste the value into the text box.
