Expanding and collapsing a list

Expand/Collapse commands

Use these commands to control which levels are visible in the spreadsheet.

  • On the ribbon, from the Spreadsheet Actions group on the Home tab, click [Collapse], [Collapse All], [Expand], or [Expand All].
  • In classic view, click View > Collapse or  Collapse, or click An image of the Collapse button on the toolbar in Classic view or An image of the Expand button on the toolbar in Classic view on the toolbar.

Each time you select the command, it displays the spreadsheet with one less or one more level of detail.
