Changing the number formats on the spreadsheet

To change the number format used for a spreadsheet column:

  1. Right-click on the column heading, and then select Properties from the shortcut menu.
  2. You can make the following formatting changes to numbers:
    • Select how many digits appear after the decimal point for the selected numeric column. Values are truncated (not rounded) at the specified number of digits.

    • Display negative numbers in red.

  3. When you finish, click [OK] to save your changes.

Tips:

  • The above options apply only to numeric columns.
  • You can also change number formats in the Edit Spreadsheet Layout window, opened in one of the following ways:

    • On the ribbon, from the Spreadsheet Display group on the Home tab, click Layouts.
    • In classic view, right-click the sequence tab, and then click Select Layout from the shortcut menu.
