Locking and unlocking estimates
To prevent data conflicts, Sage Estimating locks each estimate exclusively for the user who is currently editing it.
However, if your Sage Estimating session is unintentionally interrupted (for example, because of a power outage or a system crash), Sage Estimating automatically unlocks any estimate you were using.
To prevent data corruption, Sage Estimating no longer enables you to unlock another user's estimate. If exceptional circumstances arise when you need to unlock another user's estimate (for example, an estimator left the company with an estimate open and running in Estimating, and their computer cannot be turned off), you need to call Customer Support to unlock the estimate.
