Adding or editing item tables during assembly takeoff

Note: This feature is available only with a Sage Estimating (SQL) SQL product license. (It is not available with Sage Estimating Essential.)

During assembly takeoff, if you find that you need to edit or create an item table, you can do so quickly without having to leave the Edit Assembly window in the middle of the takeoff. You can open the Database Item Table window right from the Edit Assembly window, add or edit the item table, and then assign it to the assembly takeoff in a continuous workflow.

  1. In the Assembly Takeoff window, right-click an assembly in the assembly list, and then select Edit Assembly from the shortcut menu.
  2. Click [Insert] > Item Tables.
  3. In the Item Table List:

    • If you want to create a new table, click [Create Item Table].
    • If you want to edit an existing table, select it, and then click [Edit Item Table.

You can also press Alt-E to edit the selected table.

When you next open the Item Table window, it displays the last item table that you created or edited as the default.

Tip: You can also use the following shortcuts to open the Database Item Table window:

  • Right-click the list of item tables, and then select the Create Item Table or Edit Item Table option from a shortcut menu.
  • Press Alt-E to edit a selected table.
  • Press Alt-C to create a new table
