This command opens the Estimate Information window.
- On the ribbon, from the Estimate Views group on the Home tab, click Info.
- In classic view, click Takeoff > Estimate Information.
You use the Estimate Information window to enter facts about the estimate you are working on, such as the description, location, job size and amount, bid date, and estimator for a project. The Estimate Information window also contains the project architect, engineer, client, bid results, minority business requirements (for the United States and Canadian locales only), job classification, and report headings.
You also use the Estimate Information window to set the job cost interface preferences (for example, the type of job cost software you are using with your estimate).
Tip: In Sage Estimating (SQL), every entry you make in the estimate spreadsheet is immediately saved to the hard disk. There is no need to worry about losing data if the power goes out or if you forget to save your work.
