Select/Edit Locations window

You use the Edit Locations window to define valid values for locations in an open estimate.

You also use this window to select valid locations when you are working with locations in an estimate.

To add or edit locations:

  1. Open the Locations window in one of the following ways:

    • On the ribbon, from the Codes group on the Data tab, click Locations.

    • In classic view:
      1. Click ViewItem Takeoff Settings.
      2. Right-click in the Location box.

      3. Click Select Location.

      4. Click the [Edit] button.

    Tips:

    • You can also open the Select Location window from the estimate spreadsheet by showing the Location column in the spreadsheet, right-clicking the Location column, and then selecting the Select Location menu item.

    • To display a Search box for the Location grid if it is not visible, press Ctrl + F.

  2. Add, edit, or delete locations as needed.

    To add a new location:

    1. Click [Add] to create a new row in the grid.
    2. In the Location column for the new row, type the location.

    To edit an existing location, simply type your changes in the Location column for that row.

    To delete an existing location, click the row indicator a row indicator on the spreadsheet to select the location you want to delete, and then click [Remove].

  3. When you have finished adding and editing locations, click [OK] to close the Edit Locations window.
