Matching items

An item matches another item if the items have the same values for the following fields:

• Phase code*

• Item code*
• Item description
• Takeoff unit
• Subcontractor or Bid Grid
• Vendor

* If the spreadsheet is displayed in a Material Class sequence, the phase code and item code do not need to match in order for items to combine on the spreadsheet.

In addition, the following must match for each category:

• Order unit
• Price (or lump amount)

Sage Estimating (SQL) combines only items that have the same values for the fields listed above.
