A lump amount is a value you enter, such as a quote from a subcontractor, to replace a calculated amount in the spreadsheet or Detail window. A warning appears if you later change any value that would cause Sage Estimating (SQL) to recalculate a lump amount.

Lump amounts have a distinct font or background color to make them more noticeable in the spreadsheet. You can change the font and background color with the Options command.
