Searching a list
In a list, you can search for items that meet specific criteria.
Before you begin
Open the List window if you have not already done so.
To search a list:
-
Open the Search area.
From the Item Takeoff or Assembly Takeoff window, right-click the item list area, and then click Search.
Note: From all other List windows, the Search area is open by default.
-
Type your search criteria in the Search field. You can type a combination of full or partial words or special characters. The search is not case-sensitive; you do not have to capitalize words in order to find matching results.
Note: Use specific criteria. If you type a single letter or number, the search is slow and produces a wide range of results. For example, type cop 1/2 instead of 1/2 to find 1/2" copper tube.
-
Click [Search] or press Enter.
Sage Estimating (SQL) displays items that match all your criteria.
- When you finish searching, close the Search area.
- From the Item Takeoff or Assembly Takeoff window, right-click on the item list area, and then click Close Search.
- From all other List windows, click [Close Search].
