Quick takeoff overview

Quick takeoff is a fast, easy way to get items into your estimates. It is also useful for supplementing your regular item takeoff with other odds-and-ends items. 

Quick takeoff involves:

  1. Opening the Quick Takeoff window.

    • On the ribbon, from the Takeoff group on the Takeoff tab, click Quick.
    • In classic view, select Takeoff menu > Quick Takeoff or click An image of the Quick Takeoff button, available in classic view on the toolbar.
  2. Double-clicking (or dragging and dropping) the items you want to take off.
  3. (optional) Entering or calculating item takeoff quantities.
