Copying an assembly to another estimate
If you have common assemblies that you want to take off in other estimates, you can copy them from one estimate to another.
Use this procedure to copy an existing assembly from a source estimate to a target estimate. The copied assembly includes all associated assembly information (specifically takeoff passes) and item details (including crews, rates tables, pricing, WBS codes, and locations).
To copy an assembly to another estimate:
-
Display the source and the target estimates in the spreadsheet window, side-by-side.
Tip: Display the source estimate using the Assembly spreadsheet sequence.
-
In the source estimate, select the assembly you want to copy in one of the following ways:
- If the assembly overline is collapsed, select the row header for the overline.
- If the assembly overline is expanded, click all the items in the assembly.
-
Drag the assembly overline row to the target estimate pane, and then drop it on the target estimate.
After copying an assembly to another estimate
- Review the target estimate.
