Duplicate Estimate window
Use the Duplicate Estimate window to create a new estimate with an existing estimate's settings as a starting point. You can then edit the estimate copy's details as desired.
Note: The advantage of using the Duplicate Estimate window over simply copying an existing estimate and pasting it into a new location in the navigation pane is that you can turn on the Clear quantities and amounts and Restrict view/edit access to your administrators options when you create the copy.
To open this window, right-click an estimate on the navigation pane in the Estimate Catalog, and then click Duplicate from the shortcut menu.
Enter the information that the Estimating Management Console needs to duplicate an estimate. The Estimating Management Console creates the estimate when you click [OK].

If an estimate is open, its name appears in this field. If you do not want to use this estimate as the source estimate, type the name of another estimate or browse to locate the estimate you want to copy. Note: The new estimate is stored in the same SQL Server instance and estimate database as the specified source estimate. |

Select the branch of the estimate database where you want your estimate displayed. For example, if you have organized estimates in the estimate database by location and project name, and you are creating a new estimate for the "building electrical" project at City Hall, select the City Hall branch from the list or click [Browse] to locate it. Note: The branch is displayed for organizational purposes only. All estimates are stored on the same level within the specified estimate database. |

Tells Sage Estimating what to do with the quantities and amounts in the new estimate.
Note: To preserve cut/add items and bid grids (Estimating Extended only), clear this box. |
