Create and Manage Totals Page Templates

When you make changes to a Totals page, the changes are stored with the estimate. You can save the Totals page information (formatting, addons, and layout) to the standard database as a template so that it is available to use again.

Before you start

Open the Totals window if you have not already done so. How?

Creating a Totals page template:

  1. Format the Totals page.
  2. On the Totals toolbar, click the An image showing the Templates button [Templates] button.
  3. Click Save As Totals Page Template.
  4. In the Template Name box, enter a name for the template.
  5. If you want to make this template available for new estimates, select the Use this totals page template for new estimates check box.
  6. Click [OK].

    The template appears in the list when you click [Totals Page Templates].

Managing Totals page templates:

  1. On the Totals toolbar, click the An image showing the Templates button [Templates] button.
  2. Click Manage Totals Page Templates. Existing Totals page templates appear in the window.
  3. Select a template, and then:

    • To use the template for the current estimate, click [Apply].
    • To rename the template, click [Rename], and then type a new name over the existing name for the selected template.
    • To use the template as the default for all estimates, click [Use as Default].
    • To delete the template, click [Delete].
  4. Click [Close].

Restoring the Totals page to the factory settings:

  1. On the Totals toolbar, click the An image showing the Templates button [Templates] button.
  2. Click Use System Default Totals Page.
