Methods of sending addons to job cost
When transferring estimate information to job cost, you control how Sage Estimating (SQL) handles addon (markup) costs.
To generate a separate transaction for each addon:
- In Step 2 of the Job Cost Export wizard, clear the Allocate addons check box.
- In classic view, click Interface > Job Cost.
To prorate (allocate) addon costs to items in the estimate:
Note: This buries a part of the total addon cost in the amount for each item within the selection and range specified for the addon.
-
In the Addon window, select each addon as allocatable.
- On the ribbon, from the Other Pricing group on the Data tab, click Addons.
- In classic view, click Database > select Addons.
-
Select the Allocate addons check box in Step 2 of the Job Cost Export wizard.
To use a combination of these two methods:
Note: This creates separate transactions for nonallocatable addons and includes the cost of addons marked as allocatable in the item transactions.
- Mark only the addons you want to allocate as allocatable in the Addon window (Data tab > Other Pricing group > Addons, or in classic view, Database menu > Addons).
- Select the Allocate addons check box in Step 2 of the Job Cost Transfer wizard.
