Repricing the estimate using standard database prices

You can replace the item prices in the estimate for selected categories using the current standard database prices. For example, you might want to reprice a historical estimate using current standard database prices.

Note: It is mathematically impossible to end up with the original prices if you increase, and then decrease prices by the same percentage.

Before repricing an estimate

Before you reprice the estimate, Sage recommends creating a backup copy of your data.

To reprice the estimate from the standard database:

  1. Open the Reprice Estimate from Database window in one of the following ways:

    • On the ribbon, from the Repricing group on the Takeoff tab, click From Database.
    • In classic view, click PricingReprice Estimate from Database.
  2. On the Categories tab, select the categories you want to reprice.

For help on an item in this window, click An image showing the Help icon available on the ribbon on the window and then click the item.

By default, all item prices are repriced. To limit the reprice to specific phases of items, specify the desired phases on the Phase Range tab. How?

  3. (optional) Use the tabs to customize the Price Update report. How?

  4. Click [OK].

  5. Review the Reprice Estimate Confirmation window.

  6. To continue with the reprice, click [OK]. Sage Estimating (SQL) reprices the estimate.

To cancel the reprice and return to the Reprice Estimate from Database window, click [Cancel].

Tip: Estimate items that have a lump sum are not repriced.
