Update Database

You have two options for updating the standard database. You can:

  • Update existing items in the standard database with the changes you make to the items in the spreadsheet.
  • Add to the standard database one-time items that you create in the estimate.

After you change items on your estimate spreadsheet:

  1. Select the Update Database check boxes for those items’ columns.

  2. To update existing items in the estimate’s associated standard database, use the Update Database from Estimate window, opened in one of these ways:

    • On the ribbon, from the Updates group on the Data tab, click From Estimate.
    • In classic view, click PricingUpdate Database from Estimate.

    To add one-time line items to the standard database, from the Updates group on the Data tab, click One-time Items.
