Setting up a new crew for this estimate only

Note: This feature is available only if you have a license to use Crews.

  1. Locate the desired item on the spreadsheet, and then right-click the item’s Crew cell.
  2. Choose Create Crew from the shortcut menu.

    The Adding Database Crew window opens to create a crew for this estimate.

  3. To create a crew for this estimate only, select Estimate as the Source.

    To create a crew in the standard database and add it to this estimate, select Database as the Source.

  4. Complete the fields at the top of the window.

  5. Click [Resources] to open a list of labor and equipment resources, and then:

    1. Select the resources to use in the crew. (For more information, see Choosing from a list.)

      When you select a resource, it appears in the crew resources grid with a quantity of 1. Selecting the same resource again increases its quantity by 1.

    2. When you finish selecting resources for the crew, close the Resource list.

  6. Review the crew resources grid and make changes as needed. If necessary, you can:
    • Create a resource.

      Right-click on a resource row and select Create Resource from the shortcut menu.

    • Edit a resource.

      Right-click a resource row and then select Edit Resource from the shortcut menu.

    • Change a resource quantity.

      Click the resource Quantity cell and enter a new quantity. You can enter up to 7.3 digits for the quantity.

  7. When you finish setting up the crew, click [OK] to save it.
  8. Set up additional crews in the same manner.
  9. When you finish, click [Close].

Tip: You can use Edit Crew from the shortcut menu to copy an estimate crew to the standard database.

Right-click a resource row and then select Edit Resource from the shortcut menu.
