Adding a pass during assembly takeoff enables you to take off additional quantities and combine them with existing takeoff quantities. Each time you make a pass, the pass appears in the List area in takeoff order. The number of the current pass appears at the bottom of the Variable pane.
- In the list of passes on the Assembly Takeoff window, select the pass labeled "New Pass."
- Move the cursor to the variable pane.
- Enter values for the dimensions.

Tip: The Sage Estimating (SQL) software automatically generates a pass to an assembly when you change the quantity of an item in the takeoff grid on the Assembly Takeoff window. A pass note identifies the item and its original amount.
