Integrating with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate Job Cost

You can set up a standard database or an estimate to interface with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate Job Cost (JC).

1. If you have not already done so, open the Estimating Management Console.
2. Click the Standard Databases tab or the Estimates tab.

3. From the Standard Database Catalog, select the database you want to integrate with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate Job Cost.

   Alternatively, if you are setting up an estimate to integrate with Job Cost, select that estimate from the Estimate Catalog.

4. In the Job Cost Info section, select Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate as the Job cost system name.
5. Click [Setup].
6. In the Job Cost Integrator window:
   1. Click [Select] to select the JC company you want to associate with the standard database or estimate. Sage Estimating uses the job number and cost code formats associated with the company you select.

   2. Select a default JC category cost code in the Labor, Material, Subcontractor, Equipment, and Other boxes. Sage Estimating prefills the JC category box for each new item you create with the applicable selected default category.

      Example: If you select a labor cost code of 03-0100 for the Labor box, each time you create a new labor item for the estimate or standard database, the item's JC category box automatically displays a cost code of 03-0100.
      

   3. If you want to overwrite the job cost category in existing items in your estimate or standard database, select the Add Job Cost categories to items checkbox.
