Changing an existing factor table

To change an existing factor table:

  1. Open the Factor Table window.

    • On the ribbon, from the Adjustments group on the Data tab, click Factor Tables.
  2. Select the factor table you want to change.

You can change a factor table in either the estimate or the standard database. The source option indicates where the factor table is stored.

Note: Changes made to an estimate factor table do not affect the factor table stored in the standard database.

You can click List button to choose from a list of existing factor tables in either the estimate or standard database, or you can scroll through the factor tables using [<<] and [>>].

  3. Make changes as needed.
    • To rename the factor table, click [Rename], and then type the new name in the Factor Table field.
    • To change the phase range or adjustment factor, click the appropriate cell, and then type the new number.
    • To delete a row from the table, right-click the row header, and then click Delete.
    • Complete the fields at the top of the window.
  4. Change other factor tables in the same manner.
  5. When you finish, click [Close].

Tip: If you modify a factor table that was not created in Sage Estimating (SQL) (for example, a city cost index created by Means Integrator), Sage Estimating (SQL) saves your changes to another factor table with the same name and marks that factor table as modified. The original factor table remains unchanged.
