Testing crew amounts

Note: This feature is available only if you have a license to use Crews.

Before you begin

If you have not already done so, open the Crew window and then display the crew you want to check.

  1. Open the Crew window in one of the following ways:

    • On the ribbon, from the Crews group on the Data tab, click Crews.
    • In classic view, click Database menu > CrewsCrews.
    • From the spreadsheet, right-click a crew, and then select Edit Crew from the shortcut menu.

  2. Click List button, and then select the crew you want to check.

To check crew amounts:

  1. Click [Test] to open the Test Crew window.
  2. To check the rates and amounts for the crew, you need to select a rate table:

    1. Click List button for the appropriate rate table field and select a rate table.
    2. Select a labor rate table, equipment rate table, or both based on whether your crew contains labor resources, equipment resources, or a mix of both.
  3. Review the base and total amounts for the resources and for the crew as a whole. The base amount and total amount for the entire crew display below the grid.

    Yellow cells indicate that:

    • You need to select a rate table, or
    • Information is missing from the selected rate tables

  4. (Optional) To change the unit of time used to calculate the overall base and total amount for the crew, select a different unit from the dropdown list located beneath the grid.
