Adding a formula "on the fly"

If a formula does not exist when you are adding or editing formula tables or item tables, you do not have to interrupt your workflow. You can add or edit formulas "on the fly" from the Formula List window.

To edit an existing formula:

  1. In the Database Formula Table window or the Database Item Tables window, click [Add].

  2. Click [Row Selector, and then select Select Formula from the shortcut menu.

  3. In the Formula List window that opens, select the formula you want to edit.

  4. Click [Edit Formula].

    You can also right-click the formula, and then select Edit Formula from the shortcut menu.

  5. Use the Database Formula window to change the properties of the formula.

  6. Click [Close].

To add a new formula:

  1. In the Database Formula Table window or the Database Item Tables window, click [Add].

  2. Click [Row Selector, and then select Select Formula from the shortcut menu.

    The Formula List window opens.

    1. Click [Create Formula].

      You can also right-click anywhere in the list, and then select Create Formula from the shortcut menu.

    2. In the Adding Database Formula window, enter properties for the new formula.

    3. Click [OK].
