About formula tables

Formula tables are an excellent way to set up engineering tables that you use on a frequent basis.

You use formula tables to set up a formula with conditional input criteria for one or two variables. You can also set up a formula table to return a value based on a formula, such as Area. Based on your entries for the variable(s) during takeoff, the formula table returns the correct value to the formula.

Example: A formula table could return the weight of 1 foot of rebar to a formula based on your input for the Rebar Size variable. If you enter 3 for Rebar Size, the table returns .376, which is the weight of one foot of #3 rebar; if you enter 4, the table returns .668, and so on.
