Saving the report settings

If you often use the same settings for printing a particular report, you may want to save those settings as a named report layout for printing the report.

To save the report settings:

  1. On the ribbon, on the Reports tab, select the report you want.

In classic view, on the Reports menu, select the report you want.

  2. Click [Report Options].

  3. Select the report layout you want to use as the basis for your new report layout, or accept the default (current layout).

  4. Set the options on all the tabs, as desired.

  5. If you selected an existing personal layout in step 3 and you want to save your new options with the same name, click [Save Layout].

If you selected an existing shared layout or the current layout, click [Save As], and then type the name of the layout you want to use for printing the report, or accept the prefilled layout name, depending on whether you want to save a new report layout or update the existing one.

  6. If you are editing a shared layout, do one of the following:

    • Select the Shared option to make the report layout available to other Sage Estimating (SQL) operators.

    • Select the Personal option to restrict the layout for your own use.

Note: You need to have Manage Shared Layouts permissions to share a report layout.

  7. Click [OK].

Tips:

  • Use [Manage Layouts] to rename and delete saved layout names in the list.
  • Sage Estimating (SQL) uses the Windows printer settings for this workstation.
