Save / Save as layout commands

Use the commands on the Home tab of the ribbon to save layout changes "on the fly," including saving your changes using a different layout name.

For example, if you change the properties of a spreadsheet column (say, the background color or the column width), you can make those changes permanent.

  • Click Save to save changes you make to the current layout.

Note: The [Save] button becomes available only when you make layout changes on the spreadsheet.

  • Click Save as to open the Save Spreadsheet Layout window and save layout changes using a different layout name, so that you do not overwrite the current layout, or create a copy of the current layout that you can change later.

When you save a new layout, you can choose to save it as a personal (private) layout, or you can share the layout with others. (You need to have Manage Shared Layouts rights in Estimating Security to share layouts.)

When you click [OK] to save the new layout, Sage Estimating displays the new name in the layout list box and applies the new layout to the spreadsheet.
