Setting up a subcontractor or vendor in Address Book

You can create companies or people contacts in the Address Book database and use them in Sage Estimating (SQL) as subcontractors or vendors.

Tip: You can also add subcontractors or vendors "on the fly" directly from an estimate that you are working with.

To add contacts to an address book database:

  1. In Sage Estimating (SQL), click File > Address Book.

The Address Book catalog pane displays lists of companies, people, regions, and trades in the address book database. When you click a list in the catalog pane, the details pane displays all the contacts of the selected type in a grid.

  2. Click [New Company] to start creating the new contact.
  3. Type the contact information in the right-hand pane.
  4. Click [Save] to save the new contact information.

Note: You can now use the new company contact as a vendor or subcontractor in an estimate.
