Delete Data

When you delete data, Database Editor stops the deletion if it encounters a validation error (for example, you attempt to delete the contents of a required field).

List fields that require a value do not respond to deletes. If part of your selection includes any of these fields, Database Editor will continue the delete on other fields, but will not remove the value from the list field. Fields that do not respond to deletes include: category Conversion Units, Phase Code, Item Code, Takeoff Unit, and Category Unit.

To delete data

1. Select text in a cell or range of cells.
2. Press the DELETE key, or right-click and then select Clear Contents from the context menu that appears.
