Check Items
The Check Items integrity check tests the following rules for each item:
- Phase code exists.
- Text fields have valid length.
- Numeric fields have valid minimum and maximum values.
- Formula is valid.
- Crew exists.
- Material class is valid.
- Subcategories are valid.
- A required category (labor or equipment) exists if the item has a crew.
- A required category (material) exists if the item has a material class.
- Labor and equipment categories do not have both a crew and a price.
- Takeoff unit is valid.
- Category units are valid.
- Job cost phases are valid.
- Job cost categories are valid.
- WBS values are of a valid length.
- Orphaned price links on labor, material, and equipment categories.
- Round unit exists on the item if it has a rounding direction set.
To run data integrity checks on items:
- From the View group of the Home tab, click Integrity Checks.
- Select Check Items from the Integrity Checks list (left-hand pane).
