Changing the Crew column

You can use the commands on the shortcut menu to change crew information from the Crew column of the spreadsheet.

Shortcut menus provide access to commands that you may need to accomplish a particular task.

To open a shortcut menu, point to something in a Sage Estimating (SQL) window, and then right-click it. The available commands vary based on where you are pointing.

To do this, right-click a Crew cell and then choose one of the following commands:

• Modify <xxx> opens the Spreadsheet Crew window so you can customize a crew for the current estimate.

• Edit Crew displays the selected crew so you can make changes.

  This is the same as the Crews command on the Data tab. However, using the Edit Crew command, you can change either an estimate or standard database crew.

• Create Crew opens the Adding Database Crew window. To add a crew to this estimate only, select Estimate for the Source. To add a crew to the standard database and this estimate, select Database for the source. This command is available only when the Crew cell is empty.
• Select Crew enables you to attach a an estimate or standard database crew to an item. If you attached a crew from the standard database, the crew is copied to the estimate. This command is available only when the Crew cell is empty.
• Substitute Crew enables you to replace the crew for an item in the estimate. This has no effect on the standard database. You can select crews from either the standard database or the estimate. If you substitute with a crew from the standard database, the crew is copied to the estimate.
• Clear Crew removes the crew along with its labor and equipment prices from an item in the estimate.
• Show Rates displays the Resources tab of the Detail window containing information about each resource in the selected crew based on the selected rate tables.
