Default value

Enter the value used to prefill this variable for takeoff. You can set up a default if a variable usually takes the same value. The default ensures that a value is provided at takeoff and saves time by letting you skip a variable unless you need to change its default.

Tips:

If you leave this field blank, YES is the default for a YES/NO variable and 0.00 is the default for other variables.
To require an entry for the variable during takeoff, enter a default that is outside the specified minimum and maximum for that variable. This prevents someone from accepting the default or previous value by mistake.
The default remains in effect until changed. To reset the defaults in the takeoff window, right-click the variable pane and select Clear Variables.
