Use this command to open the New Estimate window and begin working on a new estimate. You can use one of the following methods:
- Click File > New Estimate.
- In the Estimate Catalog, right-click the branch where you want to locate the estimate, and then click > from the shortcut menu.
You decide which branch the estimate will be displayed in, the estimate database where it will be stored, and the standard database with which it will be associated (if desired).
After you click [OK], the Sage Estimating (SQL) software creates an estimate in the specified branch in the specified estimate database.
Note: You need to create at least one estimate database before you can create or add estimates. Refer to the Estimating Management Console Help for more information about estimate databases.
