Unit Type

Each unit of measure is set up with a unit type, which specifies whether the unit is time-based. Sage Estimating (SQL) calculates the labor and equipment hours for all items that have a time-based order unit in the per field of the Edit Items window (Data tab > Elements group > Items).

You can choose from several types of units:

None (non time-based unit)
Hour, Day, Week, Month (generic time-based units)
Person Hour, Person Day, Person Week, Person Month (person-based units)
Crew hour, Crew day, Crew week, Crew month (crew-based units)

Tips:

There must be time-based units of measure if you want Sage Estimating (SQL) to calculate total hours and crew prices.
In the unit list, a small clock symbol $image\clock.gif$ identifies the time-based units.
