Item list

Displays a list of standard database items. You can use the following methods to load items into the takeoff grid.

  • Double-click on a single item.
  • Select an item, and then press Enter.
  • Select and drag one or more items to the takeoff grid.

Tips:  

  • Before you select items, assign a default location and work breakdown structure to items:

    On the ribbon, from the Takeoff group on the Takeoff tab, click Default Values.

  • Avoid choosing more items after you specify the takeoff quantities. Each time you calculate quantities, the result is added to all items in the takeoff grid.
  • After you select a group of related items, you can save them as an assembly.
  • You can sort the item list in a different order. Right-click, and then select a sort option from the Sort item list by menu.
  • You can search the list to find a specific item. Right-click, and then choose the Search command. Then enter your search criteria in the Search field and press Enter.
  • You can expand or collapse the list. Right-click and choose the proper command.
