Takeoff grid

Contains the items that have been selected for takeoff, but not yet generated to the estimate. The code, description, and units come from the standard database. Before generating the items into the spreadsheet, you can specify the quantities, locations, work breakdown structures, and labor productivity and material price tables.

Tips:

  • Before you select any items, specify the default location, WBS values, or labor productivity table or price table, (other than the values specified in Estimating Information) Sage Estimating (SQL) should assign to items during takeoff.

On the ribbon, from the Takeoff group on the Takeoff tab, click Default Values.

  • Click the Add Pass button or the Undo Pass button to load the grid with the quantities calculated for items with formulas. You can also enter quantities in the grid. Each calculation or entry adds one to the number of passes.
  • You can select one or more Quantity cells and choose a command from the shortcut menu to specify quantities using the calculatorePlan Takeoff, or a formula.
  • Click [OK] to generate the items and other information into the spreadsheet.
  • Click [Cancel] to clear the entire grid without generating items to the spreadsheet.
  • Labor rate and material price tables are available only if a standard database is open and you have set it up to use productivity or price tables. If no tables have been selected, Sage Estimating (SQL) fills in the values specified in the Estimate Information window.

On the ribbon, from the Estimate Views group on the Home tab, click Info.
