Setting up a workstation to recognize Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate accounting
data folders
When you select a data folder that contains your company's Job Cost information, you may not have access to your accounting department's data folders if you do not have a Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate accounting application installed on your workstation.
If you cannot find a data folder that your accounting department uses, you can set up your workstation to recognize accounting data folders without installing a Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate accounting product on your computer.
To set up your workstation:
- Click [Start] on the taskbar.
- From the menu, select Run.
-
In the Open box, type T:\Timberline Office\9.5\Accounting\WinInst\Install.exe (T:\Timberline Office\9.5\Accounting represents the drive and folder into which you installed Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate accounting software on the network server). You can also [] to select the location.
Note: If you enter a location that uses a mapped drive, you should use the same drive letter and path that other workstations use to access the folder.
- In the list of Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate installation tasks, select Install software, and then follow the instructions as they appear in the windows.
