Link and Unlink Items

You can link category item prices for Labor, Material, and Equipment. Database Editor displays prices with a red font in the cell for every item that has a link.

If you change the price of one of the linked items, Database Editor automatically updates the price for all linked items. If you add an item to an existing group of linked items, Database Editor retains all links.

Note: You cannot link items that are currently linked to different groups. For example, if you link items 1 and 2, then link items 3 and 4 in a different group, you cannot link items 3 and 1. You need to unlink items 3 and 4 before you can link items 3 and 1.

To link items:

Select two or more cells in one category Price column.
Right click and select Link.

To unlink items:

Select one or more cells in one category Price column.
Right click and select Unlink.
