About formula tables
Formula tables are an excellent way to set up engineering tables that you use on a frequent basis.
You use formula tables to set up a formula with conditional input criteria for one or two variables. You can also set up a formula table to return a value based on a formula, such as Area. Based on your entries for the variable(s) during takeoff, the formula table returns the correct value to the formula.
Example: A formula table returns the weight of boards in a formula based on your input for the Board Size variable. If you enter 14.000 for Board Size, the table returns 0.334. If you enter 14.500, 15.000, or 16.000, the table returns 0.500, and so on.
Note that each input value represents the top limit of that range. For example, a board size of 14.5 or 15 returns the value for the next highest range: 0.500.
