Assembly only

Allows you to save a modified version of an existing variable for use with a specific assembly. The option is available only if you edit a variable during assembly takeoff or from an assembly. If you select this option, you can set up different default, minimum, maximum, and help notes for the variable when used in that assembly.

Tip: You can set up a number of assembly-specific variables based on the same standard database variable. Sage Estimating (SQL) stores a separate record with the same name for the standard database variable and each related assembly-specific variable. The only time you see an assembly-specific variable is when you work with the assembly for which it was created.
