Optimizing performance

Sage Estimating (SQL) has several options that affect how fast the estimate spreadsheet displays on your screen. Use the following settings to obtain the best performance:

  • Do not display overline (top level) totals when the spreadsheet is expanded.

An overline is any level of the spreadsheet based on the spreadsheet sequence. For example, if the spreadsheet is in Phase/Item order, the primary overline is group phase and the secondary overline is phase.

  • On the spreadsheet, hide the Addon Amount and Grand Total columns.

  • Do not set up more than four sort levels for a spreadsheet sequence.

Tip:

  • To control which columns appear on the spreadsheet, edit the spreadsheet layout.

On the ribbon, from the Spreadsheet Display group on the Home tab, click Layouts.
